Representatives from 12 NFL teams — including an offensive line coach from the Detroit Lions — were present at Grand Valley State’s pro day on April 11, when seven Lakers players worked out indoors on FieldTurf. Matt Armstrong, C (6-foot-1 5/8, 298 pounds) — Armstrong — who was at the NFL Scouting Combine — ran the 40-yard dash in 5.18 seconds. He had a 32-inch vertical jump and 8-foot-10 broad jump. He did 24 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press. Armstrong did not do the shuttle runs or three-cone drill.
